 RACE PROCEDURE & RULES

Entry fee : NONE!!

Pit gate will open at 3:00 P.M.

Draw window will close at 4:30 P.M. Any car/driver registering after that will line up at the rear of the assigned heat race. Driver meeting will be at 4:45 PM. Hot laps will be at 5:00 P.M. We will divide you into groups of approximately 20 cars at a time. All cars will enter the track though the staging area gate at turn 4. When checkered flag is displayed all cars will enter pits at backstretch gate before the next groups set of hot laps.

Line ups and order of events will be posted on the board on the front side of the infield tower. All races will line up in the infield staging area prior to the completion of the previous heat. Any car not in the staging area when their race is sent out will not be allowed to join that race at any time after the green flag is given.

No transferring from one race to another race. You will race in your assigned heat race, consolation, and feature event. No driver changes will be allowed. Any driver may only qualify one car in one heat. No driver will be allowed to attempt to qualify more than one car.

All starts will be two abreast, with the pole position car (inside front row) setting the pace. Any car jumping the start will receive one warning per race. Any driver jumping a start will be penalized number of positions jumped on the next yellow or at the finish which ever occurs first.

Heat race and B feature restarts will be single file. Feature restarts will be done as per our weekly format. Lead car will restart by alone in the front row and be allowed to take whatever line he or she chooses to restart the race. The second place car will get the choice of inside or outside lane. The third place car will go beside the second place car in the lane left available. Fourth place will take the inside of the next row with fifth place on the outside, etc. Starting and restarting procedures (cone, white line, etc) will be explained at the pit meeting on the night of the show. After three double file restarts, we will revert back to a single file restart for all remaining restarts in that race.

All realignments will made by going back to the last completed lap. If the top two cars complete a lap, it will be scored as complete, with all others being scored as they completed the last lap. There will be no racing back to the yellow flag.

Yellow/Red flags; Any and all cars involved in a incident bringing out a yellow/red flag will go the rear for the restart, including the first lap. Heat races - one spin/yellow by yourself and you are in the pits. Features - Any car causing two (2) yellow flags on his/her own will be black flagged from that event.

Realigning the field will be done on the back stretch unless an accident forces us to use a different location. We will try to do line ups rolling, but sometimes it will require to stop you for realignment. When you are stop for realignment you will stop on the backstretch and pull around to turn 4 as you are directed by the official working on the backstretch. The turn 4 official will ask the second place car his choice of lane and direct all others to their proper positions. When light is turned back to yellow and the green flashed the line up is complete, you may proceed.

Any driver observed by the officials to have been rough driving will be penalized. You spin someone out, you WILL be behind them on the restart or in the pits!

Cars leaving the racing surface for pit service may do so at any gate to the pit area. When re-entering the race you MUST re-enter at the front stretch gate only. You will not be allowed to re-enter the track at any other gate. When re-entering a race wait for the green light inder the flagstand. Any driver running the red light will back in the pits and come back to the gate waiting for a green light.

Heat race winners compete in the MILLER LITE DASH FOR CASH and the BUDWEISER DASH FOR CASH to determine starting position in the A feature. Second place heat race finishers will draw to determine their starting positions which will be directly behind all of the heat race winners. Should third place finishers go directly to the feature, they will also draw for their feature starting positions.

HALF WAY PIT STOP RULES ; During this 10 minute break all cars will stay on the front side of the guardrail on the front stretch. (You may pull down into the grass area) Any car pulling behind the guard rail into the pit area will go to the rear of the field for the restart. You may work on your car during this time to make adjustments. You may have only two (2) pit crew members plus driver on the track. You can; add fuel, change tires, add air pressure to, or release air pressure from tires, adjust chassis,  adjust weight, (NO ADDING OR REMOVING WEIGHT ALLOWED) adjust engine components, cool engine down etc. Note: IF you are adding fuel or cooling down engine pull your car down on the grass to do so. We don’t need liquid poured on the track.

Time will be kept on the scoreboard. When the 10 minutes are over all cars will realign in the assigned positions, as you were running on lap 20, except for the first cars which will be inverted. The number of cars to invert will be determined by random draw at intermission with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8. Any car not ready to race at the end of the 10 minute break and not lined up will go to the rear of the field for the restart. Any cars not on the lead lap will be realigned at the rear of the field.
