Gail & Karen Hampel Memorial Brings Super Late Models to ACS

Gail & Karen Hampel Memorial Brings Super Late Models to ACS

While Mother nature washed out the planned Gail & Karen Hampel Memorial earlier this month, it has only made for a bigger stage this Saturday as the Malvern Bank West Series collides with the Hoker Trucking East Series of the Super Late Model Racing Series (SLMR). Drivers will now be chasing after a $4,000 to win top prize while the event will also pay $600 to start.

The 2nd Annual Gail & Karen Hampel Memorial headlines the night, presented by Dirt Track Bank. The Hampel's were long time promotors of the Adams County Speedway, and helped to build and mold the facility into what it is today.

Thanks to the support of the Hampel Family, the Nodaway Elevator for the second year has agreed to cover the entry fee for the Late Model Drivers, while Hampel Fabtech will be covering the pit passes for each Late Model Driver. Justin Zeitner dominated the event one year ago.

The Poet Biorefining Modifieds will also be in action in a special $1,222 to win & $150 to start main event the "Underdog Design & Drawing 22". Just like the Late Models, the purse has swelled in 2023 hoping to attract even more drivers to the 22 lap main event. This will be a draw/redraw event with track and national points on the line. A $25 Temporary NASCAR license will be required.

Also on the card will be weekly series action with BONUS MONEY for the Northland Oil Stock Cars ($500/Win & $100/Start), Chat Mobility Hobby Stocks and O'Reilly Auto B-Mods (Both $400 to Win), and a special $200/Win & $40 to start feature for the Floating Vine Compacts!

This event would not be possible without the great support of the Hampel Family and Friends for their contributions and donations through T-Shirt Sales, Shore Motor Company of Clarinda, IA who is a Presenting sponsor of the Modified main event, along with "Always Race Day" who has generously added bonus money to the top three driver in the Stock Car, B-Mod, & Hobby Stock Divisions.
