Orr Heating & AC June 15th Canceled

Over three inches of rain have fallen on the speedway in last twenty-four hours leaving a large portion of the infield under water and all hopes for racing washed down the drain.   With five rain-outs in the first nine weeks of racing 2013 is proving to be one of the most difficult seasons in recent history.

Chat Mobility will sponsor their annual Kids Money Grab on June 15th with over $700 in change spread on the track for the kids to pick up during intermission.  All kids age 12 and under are invited to come on down and participate.  The Helmet Pass for Curtis Gaunt will be rescheduled for a later date.

The late models will be running under the posted rules for restricted cone sizes as our one week test period is over.

Cooper First Time Winner - 8 Hall of Famers

Justin Cooper claimed his first career feature win on a night when the cold and wet relented just enough to let the cars take to the track.  Jeremy Auten used a last lap pass to capture the crown in the Chat Mobility hobby stocks while Jerod Weston got win number two in four starts this season in the Stalker Chevrolet b-mods.

Kevin Sharp's win in the Northland Oil pro-stocks  brought the crowd to their feet and Jeff Wiggins got his first win of the season in the Poet Biorefining modifieds.

The inaugural class of the ACS Hall of Fame was inducted.  Gail and Karen Hampel went in as promoters, while Dave Chase, Dusty Whitehead, and the late Varel Schmidt were inducted as drivers.   Outstanding contributors to the track were Harry Wiechman and Lawrence Peterson.  Inducted as fans were Wendell Bell and the late C.R. "Dick" Miller.

The 2013 ACS "Ka-Ching!!" up to $50,000 Give Away

One lucky race fan could end the race season $50,000 richer if they draw the lucky envelope at the track on Championship night,  September 7th.

Every week throughout the race season ten names will be drawn from entries made at the track that evening - seven from the grandstands and three from the pits.  On the final night five lucky names will be selected from the earlier winners and each will be allowed to choose one envelope from a barrel of 500 envelopes.  One envelope will hold a certificate worth $50,000 cash.  The remainder will hold consolation prizes worth no less than $500 each.

Contestants must be 18 years of age or older.  Track volunteers and employees and Adams County Fair and Racing Association board members are not eligible to enter or win.  Must be present to win.

Six ACS drivers were honored at Charlotte, North Carolina during the annual NASCAR Whelen All-American awards banquet.  Award winners included the track feature division champion and other drivers who finished in the top three nationally in their respective divisions.   No other track in the country had more winners eligible to attend the banquet.
